THANK YOU! Bus Driver Appreciation Day is May 1

Join us on May 1 as we recognize and thank our school bus operators for keeping the safety of our students their first priority. We encourage you, and your children, to take a moment to say thanks to our bus operators—who go above and beyond to provide safe and timely transportation to our students.

On behalf of Ardrossan Elementary THANK YOU to all of our school bus operators for a job well done.

Nut Aware School

A friendly reminder that we have a number of individuals with severe allergies to nuts. Thank you in advance for sending treats or snacks that are nut free with your children.

STOP...at the Stop Sign

We have had a couple close calls between drivers, as they exit the drop off zone. For everyone's safety, please ensure that you stop and look for other cars and pedestrians before proceeding. Thank you!

My Story: Mental Health Week runs May 1-7

Mental Health Week takes place May 1-7. To mark the week, Ardrossan Elementary has a series of activities and lessons planned for students, all centred on Mental Health Week’s theme, “My Story.” We all have different, yet equally valuable stories which can be used to share one key message: universal mental health care is important and needed now!

Collectively, students will learn about community-based mental health care champions, programs and communities while showcasing the importance of securing universal mental health care, what it can look like and how mental health care can be expressed and nurtured, such as within art, music and dance. In addition to school activities, students and staff can also share messages about their personal journey on various social media platforms using the hashtag #MyStory.

Bison Bravo a Staff Member

Did you know that the Ardrossan Elementary Parent Support Association has started a staff bravo initiative?  As you might know, Ardrossan staff regularly give out Bison Bravos to students to acknowledge acts of citizenship, kindness or excellence.

AEPSA is offering the chance for students and families to Bravo a staff member!  All you have to do is click on the the Bravo a Staff Member box on the right side of the school webpage to fill out an electronic Bravo form.  Then our amazing AEPSA parents write you message on a note which is delivered to that staff member along with a sweet treat!
