Welcome to the Learning Commons
The Learning Commons is a literary haven that houses a large collection of both English and French books. It is open everyday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Students may choose to exchange their library books at noon, both recesses or stay in for quiet reading. Classrooms visit the library once a week during their scheduled period to check-out books which they may borrow for up to one week. After one week the books are overdue and they must be returned to the library before students can choose another book. Incentives for those students who consistently return their books are ongoing. Our library provides students with access to the internet, research materials and books for enjoyment in a bright, cheery atmosphere.

Happy by Emma Dodd
'What makes one little owl happiest of all - Why, when he cuddles close with his mummy and whispers, 'I love you'- This book is a beautiful tale of a mother owl's unconditional love for her baby. The hardback book sparkles with glittering gold detailing, night skies and forest scenes. For pre-k – 2.
Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate
Jackson and his family have fallen on hard times. There's no more money for rent. And not much for food, either. His parents, his little sister, and their dog may have to live in their minivan. Again. A special book for grade 4 & up.
